According to an article from USA Today, a Michigan Wolverines edge rusher who was among the 18 Wolverines invited to the NFL Scouting Combine mentioned that he was aware of Jim Harbaugh’s desire to pursue a Super Bowl.
“He’s always told us that it was his dream to go back to the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl,” McGregor said.
Prior to accepting the position with the Chargers, there was widespread speculation that Harbaugh might remain with Michigan. In previous years, he had interviewed for NFL positions but ultimately chose to stay with the Wolverines, so his departure for the NFL was not a definite outcome.
During the combine, Harbaugh attended to show support for the Michigan players he had recruited. However, this time he was present as the head coach of an NFL team, evaluating potential future stars.
