SHOCKING NEWS: AS REAL MADRID offers a huge amount for signing of Micky van de Van as Tottenham financial demands made- Exclusive
Four of European football’s biggest clubs are keeping an eye on Micky van de Ven, Tottenham News understands.
The Dutchman enjoyed an incredible debut campaign in North London after signing from Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg for £43million last summer (via Sky Sports News, 8 August).
He completed a clean sweep of Spurs’ Player of the Year awards (Tottenham Hotspur Official Website, 11 May).
That is despite spending two months on the treatment table after suffering a hamstring injury in November.
Van de Ven has quickly established himself as one of Ange Postecoglou’s most important players and the Australian will be desperate to keep hold of him.
Tottenham must fight off interest from around Europe for Micky van de Ven
A recruitment source with close links to Spurs has exclusively revealed to Tottenham News that four of Europe’s biggest clubs are keeping tabs on van de Ven.
Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, PSG and Juventus are all said to be “watching” the 23-year-old.
However, Tottenham News understands that it would take “a lot of money” to convince Spurs to sell their star defender, who is under contract with the club until 2029.
Van de Ven has made 29 appearances for Spurs thus far, scoring three goals.
He is currently competing with the Dutch national team at the 2024 UEFA European Championship in Germany.
Van de Ven was a second-half substitute during the Netherlands’ 2-1 victory over Poland on matchday one in Group D (16 June).
