New York Yankees

The message: This time, he is being a bit more active.

Despite being a potential upcoming free agent in the NFL, Baker Mayfield continues to stay active and engaged in a rather unconventional manner. Recently, Mayfield made an appearance at the New York Yankees’ spring training as a guest, where he had the opportunity to take some swings in the batting cage. Impressively, the experienced quarterback exhibited a commendable batting technique during his time there.

Mayfield’s passion for baseball is evident, as he has shown his enthusiasm for the sport in the past. Five years ago, he made a cameo appearance as a first base coach for the Milwaukee Brewers during a spring training game. This time around, he is taking a more active role.

Given Mayfield’s current contract situation, with no deal in place for the upcoming season, he has the freedom to engage in baseball-related activities. However, there is a strong likelihood that he will return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as he is widely regarded as the favored option. Conveniently, the New York Yankees conduct their spring training in Tampa, eliminating the need for the veteran quarterback to travel far in order to observe and participate in their activities.
