AFC Updates: Insight on Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, the Bills, Jets, and Patriots

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper has lauded quarterback Josh Allen for his electrifying performance this season, describing the “Josh Allen experience” as nothing short of transformative. Speaking to ESPN, Cooper said, “Big-time players make big-time plays in big-time situations, and that’s exactly what he did.”

Cooper isn’t alone in his admiration. Bills cornerback Rasul Douglas also weighed in, calling Allen “the best quarterback in the league right now.” However, Douglas admitted Allen’s daring runs sometimes make him nervous, adding, “When I see him running and doing his thing, I just think, ‘Tuck it a little bit,’ but then he scores, and it’s just Josh being Josh.”

Head coach Sean McDermott defended his bold play-calling decisions in the Bills’ recent victory over the Chiefs, citing years of experience against Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. “There have been too many games where they come back and win. I felt strongly it was the right decision,” McDermott explained.

With Buffalo’s resilience and Allen’s leadership driving their 9-2 start, the Bills continue to assert themselves as a formidable contender in the AFC.
