Offer made for potential Sheffield Wednesday target, English clubs also keen

Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with Ovie Ejaria and now, The Star reports the midfielder has been made an offer from an unnamed club.

Sheffield Wednesday are casting a wide net in their search for new signings as popular boss Danny Rohl embarks on his first summer transfer window in charge at Hillsborough.

A number of players have been linked and it will be hoped some additions can be confirmed in the early stages of the window, which officially opens on Friday.

Among those said to be options for the Owls is midfielder Ovie Ejaria, who has been out of the game since officially leaving Reading in January. The 26-year-old has not played a competitive game since November 2022.

Now, it is said an offer is on the table for the midfielder.

The Star states that with interest emerging from Sheffield Wednesday, other English clubs and sides in Greece and Turkey, Ejaria has been offered a contract by an unnamed side.

Interestingly though, the report adds that Wednesday have maintained contact with Ejaria’s representatives following a training stint with the club towards the end of last season.
