The media’s enthusiastic acrobatics to commend the Commanders for hosting a visit with four top quarterback prospects simultaneously could only be described as comical, at best.
From my perspective, it lacks logic.
What purpose does it serve to have Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, J.J. McCarthy, and Michael Penix all present on the same day? The only argument presented so far is that they want to observe the interactions among the four.
But why? Why does it matter? When will these four quarterbacks ever be together again?
While it might be an intriguing sociological experiment, it squanders the opportunity to truly understand each player individually.
Our speculation is that owner Josh Harris wanted to be present during the visits and they were scheduled for a day when he was available. That’s just an assumption. I wouldn’t expect the Commanders to admit this, as it would mean acknowledging Harris’s significant influence in the final decision-making process.

Harris already participated in the meetings with quarterbacks at the Scouting Combine. This is a crucial decision, and he fully intends to be involved in the decision-making process while also being able to claim that his football personnel made the ultimate decision.
It’s not a criticism; it’s an attempt to comprehend the perplexing situation. Unless the motive behind bringing all four prospects in on the same day is solely Harris’s desire to meet with them all at once, there seems to be no valid reason for executing it this way.
