This comes almost a week after Alabama lost to the Michigan Wolverines in the 2023 College Football Playoff, a game that went to overtime and was eventually ended by a Michigan run-stop on fourth down.
Alabama has been the dominant force in college football since Saban took over. He restored the program to its former dominant heights, winning six national titles with Alabama. Saban also won a national championship with the LSU Tigers, giving him seven championship rings. That number is the most by any college football coach in the history of the sport, making Saban one of the greatest winners in the modern generation.
