The Michigan Wolverines lost another player to the transfer portal, as sophomore Darrius Clemons entered his name into the portal on Wednesday, according to multiple reports. He is the second player to enter the portal today, with wideout/punt returner Jake Thaw also entering the transfer portal just two days after the Wolverines won the College Football Playoff National Championship.
The 6-foot-3, 212-pounder appeared in 22 total games during his time with Michigan football, catching four passes for 40 yards. What he may be remembered for the most at Michigan was his incredible touchdown grab in the 2022 spring game when he was a true freshman.

Clemons was once thought to be a potential successor for one of the Wolverines’ primary receiving roles, but he instead was heavily out-snapped by fellow 2022 classmate, Tyler Morris, in addition to Semaj Morgan and Fredrick Moore this past year as true freshmen. He has a lot of potential, as he was a four-star recruit coming out of high school and has all the measurables to succeed at the position. Unfortunately, it just never came to fruition at Michigan.
