Everton attacking midfielder Dele Alli may miss the games against Manchester City and Wolves, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that only a remarkable turnaround behind the scenes will see the Englishman being fit for the remaining two games of 2023.
The 27-year-old has returned to individual training but is yet to feature for the under-21s which is what players usually do post injury.
Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said:
Hard to say how far off he is from returning because his absence has been so long but it’s certainly a good sign that he’s at least in individual training.
The key will be how he responds to training.
“He does seem unlikely to be back this week unless something remarkable occurs behind the scenes.“
Alli faces a tricky future at Goodison Park as he’s not expected back before the January transfer window.
Sean Dyche is yet to see what he can offer and given his wages, the club may opt to cash in on his services if there is a market for him.
Whether or not the 27-year-old features for the Toffees is anyone’s guess, but the medical staff have been working day in and day out to ensure he returns to full fitness.
