Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with a handful of players ahead of the January transfer window.
It’s looking like Sheffield Wednesday could be in store for a busy January with Kevin Beadell having recently arrived as the new Head of Recruitment.
And one player linked with a potential move to Hillsborough is James Beadle.
The Brighton goalkeeper is currently impressing on loan at Oxford United but could be recalled next month, and sent out on loan to a Championship club for the second half of the season.
Elsewhere, Scott Hogan at Birmingham City has been mentioned as a potential target for the Owls.
Sheffield Wednesday look set to bring in a new striker next month and the 31-year-old Hogan could be that man, having fallen out of favour under Wayne Rooney this season.

Scott Hogan’s Birmingham City wages
Whether or not Hogan arrived on loan or as a permanent player, Sheffield Wednesday would have to cough up a fair amount of wages.
He’s one of the higher-earners at St Andrew’s, earning a reported £20k-a-week wage at Birmingham City right now, so for the Owls who already have an inflated squad and inflated wage bill, Hogan would only add to that issue.
Josh Windass can play a key role in 2024
Josh Windass has missed the last two games now.
He’s thought to be carrying some kind of injury but he’s not expected to miss much longer, and his return to the side will be a huge boost for Rohl.
He showed in the win over Blackburn Rovers in which he scored his first goal of the season that he’s a player who can really damage opposition defenders with his energy and forward-thinking, which is what Hogan is best known for.
Windass could be a free alternative to the Birmingham City man.
Past his best?
There’s no doubting that Hogan is a proven, tried and tested Championship striker. But he seems to be past his best now.
Sheffield Wednesday wouldn’t be signing the Hogan that’s proved prolific for the likes of Brentford in the past, or in his earlier Birmingham City days, but a striker that’s struggling to get off the bench for a Birmingham City side currently sitting in 17th place of the Championship table.
Rohl has bigger ambitions than that and he wants younger players who he can mould into the type of player he wants, so a move for Hogan doesn’t seem like one that Rohl would be keen on.
