The schedule for the upcoming centennial season of Chicago Blackhawks hockey was released on Wednesday afternoon, following the news that emerged earlier this week that Chicago will open the season on the road against the two-time Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 4 p.m. CT.

For some highlights of the schedule, we’ll start with the home opener, which is on Saturday, Oct. 11 against the Montreal Canadiens:
Some other notable portions of the schedule are as follows:
Chicago has a season-high 11 home games in the month of January.
There are a trio of four-game homestands: two in November, one in January and one at the end of the season in April.
A six-game road trip arrives just before Halloween and carries into the second week of November for the Blackhawks longest time away from the UC this season.
There’s a 22-day gap between games in February as the NHL sends its players over to Italy to compete in the 2026 Olympics.
Some notable games to highlight on the schedule:
Jonathan Toews will play at the United Center as a visitor for the first time on Monday, Jan. 19 when the Winnipeg Jets come to town. Chicago’s first game against the Jets is in Winnipeg on Oct. 30.
Patrick Kane will be in the house with the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, Dec. 13.
