Auburn cornerback Keionte Scott has officially entered the transfer portal, as reported by Caleb Jones. After three seasons with the Tigers, Scott will use his final season of eligibility, granted through a new rule extending eligibility for JUCO players.
Scott, a 6-foot-2, 192-pound defensive back, made a significant impact during his time at Auburn. Over 33 games (23 starts), he tallied 115 tackles, six tackles for loss, one sack, 10 pass deflections, and one interception. Before joining Auburn, Scott was a four-star JUCO recruit from Snow College in Utah, where he was ranked as the No. 2 JUCO player and the No. 1 cornerback in the 2022 class.
At this point, there is no indication of where Scott might transfer. However, his track record and versatility will make him a valuable addition to any program looking for an experienced defensive back.
Scott is the fifth Auburn defensive back to enter the portal this season, joining starting safety Caleb Wooden and reserve safeties Laquan Robinson and C.J. Johnson. Cornerback Antonio Kite also left the program after being dismissed earlier in the year. Despite these departures, Auburn has bolstered its secondary through recruiting, landing four-star cornerbacks Donovan Starr and Blake Woodby, along with three-star Devin Williams.
Auburn’s transfer portal class is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation, behind Texas Tech, LSU, and Ole Miss, showcasing the Tigers’ strong recruitment efforts as they aim to rebuild and maintain depth in key positions.
