The Florida Gators are making strides in their 2024 recruiting efforts, securing a commitment from three-star defensive lineman Stephon Shivers out of Brentwood, TN. The 6-foot-5, 365-pound Shivers, previously committed to Georgia, flipped to Florida just days after an official visit where he witnessed the Gators’ victory over LSU.
Ranked No. 489 nationally by the 247Sports Composite, Shivers’ addition marks the second major commitment for Florida in 24 hours, following four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., who flipped from Florida State.
Florida’s recruiting class has climbed to No. 31 in the national rankings, moving up 12 spots since the weekend. While the class still lacks high-profile names, the Gators are building momentum as the early signing period approaches.
Can Florida continue this upward trend and salvage their 2024 recruiting cycle? Stay tuned for more updates as signing day nears.
