Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou hails senior leader Son Heung-min for his inspiring display against Arsenal
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou spoke highly of captain Son Heung-min and talked about the significant impact the South Korean has on his fellow teammates at the Premier League club this season.
The Spurs staged two comebacks to secure an electrifying 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the North London derby at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, with Son scoring twice to rescue his team.
The 31-year-old has further solidified his resurgence in form with an impressive performance in scoring goals. The captain has netted five goals in the Premier League this season.
The experienced winger showed excellent finishing skills while scoring his first goal, slotting the ball neatly into the bottom corner following a fantastic setup by James Maddison.
Later in the second half, he showcased his composure once more when Maddison provided another assist for Tottenham’s second goal.
As quoted by Football London, the manager said:
“He’s been outstanding as a leader and as a player. His first thought is what’s best for the team and he puts himself into that position and then he has the quality to finish.”
“I’m so happy for him. When I talk about that great environment with the players, Sonny is leading that with Madders and Romero.”
