2024 NRL Signings Tracker: Star Forward Extends Contract, Rising Talent Secured for Future

Sam Walker has signed a two-year contract extension with the Roosters, keeping him with the team until the end of 2027. The 22-year-old halfback has made 77 appearances since his debut in 2021, amassing 550 points for the Tricolours.

Meanwhile, Martin Taupau has re-signed with the Brisbane Broncos through the 2025 season. The 34-year-old, with 255 NRL games and 33 international appearances for New Zealand and Samoa, will continue to add depth to the Broncos’ forward pack. His extension follows a strong 2024 season, during which he made 13 appearances, ran for 1124 meters, and recorded 233 tackles at a 97% efficiency rate.

Additionally, Braydon Trindall has committed to the Cronulla Sharks until 2028, extending his stay with a three-year contract. Trindall, who found top form late in 2024 and helped the Sharks reach the semi-finals, expressed his dedication to the club that he joined at age 18.

Emerging forward Xavier Willison has also re-signed with the Broncos, securing his spot through the end of 2027. The 22-year-old played 19 games in 2024, establishing himself as a regular and starting in two important late-season wins.

Lastly, the Bulldogs have announced the immediate termination of Josh Addo-Carr’s contract. The club’s board reached the decision after careful deliberation, recognizing his impact over three seasons and the memorable moments he provided for fans.
