BREAKING NEWS: GEORGIA TARGETS 4-STAR UNC COMMITMENT with SCHOLARSHIP OFFER

The University of Georgia has extended a scholarship offer to Zavion Griffin-Haynes, a highly regarded four-star edge rusher. Currently a commitment to the North Carolina Tar Heels, Griffin-Haynes is part of the class of 2026 and stands out at 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 220 pounds. He plays for Rolesville High School, known for its strong football program in North Carolina.

Ranked as the No. 114 recruit nationally, Griffin-Haynes holds the distinction of being the No. 11 edge rusher in the country and is the ninth-best recruit in North Carolina. His impressive profile has caught the attention of several top programs.

Georgia’s head coach, Kirby Smart, and the Bulldogs have been active in recruiting during their bye week, which falls on September 21, just before their important matchup against the Alabama Crimson Tide on September 28. The Bulldogs have already secured three commitments for the class of 2026, including a five-star quarterback, Jared Curtis.

Griffin-Haynes took to social media to announce his scholarship offer from Georgia, highlighting the increasing interest in him from prominent football programs. In related recruiting news, Georgia is also expected to secure a commitment from the top-ranked recruit in the class of 2027, demonstrating the program’s strong recruiting efforts.
