Newcastle United supporters were left gobsmacked after the club’s media channel released footage of Eddie Howe donning sleek Adidas training gear.
The Toon boss repped a black tracksuit with grey trim on his first day back in action. Newcastle players – barring those recently representing their countries – returned to pre-season training yesterday ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
The Magpies are looking to regain momentum following an underwhelming season last year. Injuries ravaged a campaign that promised excitement as Champions League football returned to St James’ Park.
Despite the downsides, 2023-24 had its highlights, most notably emphatic wins over Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Sunderland. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the new season as Euro 2024 approaches its climax this weekend.
They can expect Newcastle to be kitted out in Adidas next season after club officials agreed a multi-year deal worth around £40million. The German sports giant supplied the Magpies with iconic designs between 1995 and 2010 – with that relationship now renewed.
