The Huskies got 24 points and 15 rebounds from Sarah Strong, 24 points from Azzi Fudd and 17 points along with six rebounds from Paige Bueckers. After the game, former Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III sent a powerful message to Bueckers, who is quickly becoming one of the most popular and well known female athletes in the United States.

Bueckers spoke after the game about staying true to herself and her playing style amid calls for her to change. The message resonated with Griffin III, who sent her a powerful message. “Paige Bueckers’ story of overcoming adversity to leave college a National Champion in dominant fashion should be a Hollywood movie,” Griffin III wrote.

“Never let a set back make you give up on your dream, no matter how many you have. You will win in the end.
