GMHBA Health Update | Round 23
The latest GMHBA Health Update for Round 23 has been released.
Tanner Bruhn and Ted Clohesy have both entered the AFL’s concussion protocols following their recent matches. Bruhn was substituted out during the game against Fremantle, while Clohesy suffered his concussion in the Cats’ VFL game against Carlton. Brett Johnson, Assistant General Manager of Football, stated that both players will be sidelined for this weekend and their availability will be determined as they progress through the return-to-play protocols.
In other injury news, Sam De Koning, who missed the win over Fremantle due to a knee injury, has undergone a minor procedure on his knee. Johnson indicated that De Koning is expected to be out for one to two weeks but is focused on his rehabilitation and should return in the near future.
The team will also keep a close watch on Cameron Guthrie (achilles) and Mark O’Connor (knee) as they continue their rehab, with a return date to be confirmed as their progress is assessed.
Geelong is set to face St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night, with the match scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.ticketmaster.com.au.
