Carlos Corberan has issued a new update on when Yann M’Vila may be able to make his West Brom debut.
The former French international signed on a free transfer on 19 February following the close of the January transfer window, having left Olympiacos in the summer where he had previously played under the Baggies boss.
He is yet to be seen in an Albion shirt after playing no football since May, but Corberan says he will be able to consider him for selection once he gets through the next few days of physical training situations.
The Spaniard said, via Express & Starv (5 March): “If he competes well in training in these days, then for me that is important because I want to make 10 v 10 situations.
“That is what he needs and for the players that didn’t play that is the more real practice exercise you can do. If he completes the game situations and physical work we do then I can start to think of him.”

The former Sunderland midfielder was a rare out-of-contract signing midseason who probably wouldn’t have been brought in were it not for his past relationship with Corberan.
With the West Brom finances leaving nothing in the way of a transfer budget it was left to the recruitment department to strengthen only via loan deals in January.
Andi Weimann and Mikey Johnston have so far proven inspired deals, with the latter potentially in line for a permanent move following Shilen Patel’s takeover of the club.
Extensive injury issues have shown that cover could be vital in the play off race so M’Vila is unlikely to become a starter between now and the end of the season, but if he proves he is up to speed in the coming days he could see action off the bench in the absence of Jayson Molumby.
The tip to QPR on Wednesday (6 March), where the new majority shareholder is expected to be in attendance, will likely come to soon but the 33-year-old doesn’t sound too far off.
Alex Mowatt and Okay Yokuslu staying fit is most important for the Baggies’ season currently, with Nathaniel Chalobah next up and Adam Reach able to fill in.
