Injury Update
Anzalone broke his forearm in Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and has been on Injured Reserve since. However, the Lions activated him off IR on Wednesday, and he participated fully in Thursday’s practice.
Despite the progress, Anzalone remains cautious about rushing back to play.
“Obviously, the doctors and trainers go through what the risks are: waiting a week, waiting two weeks, going through practice,” Anzalone said. “For me, I think it’s like, ‘Okay, if something did happen, would I be okay not playing in the Super Bowl?’ That’s the decision I have to make in my own head.”
Anzalone has not ruled out playing in Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings, but he is taking a measured approach to ensure he is fully ready when he returns.
