The Alabama Crimson Tide continues to make moves in the transfer portal, with their latest addition being wide receiver Isaiah Horton from the Miami Hurricanes. Horton, who still has two years of eligibility remaining, is coming off a strong 2024 season in which he recorded 56 receptions for 616 yards and 5 touchdowns.
A former four-star prospect out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Horton was ranked as the No. 54 wide receiver in the class of 2022 by 247Sports. During his recruitment, he received offers from major programs, including Tennessee, Auburn, Penn State, Oregon, and Florida.
Horton now becomes Alabama’s top transfer portal acquisition of the season, joining a relatively small group of four incoming transfers. This is notable considering Alabama has seen 14 players enter the portal, with some already finding new homes and others still searching.
Although Alabama fell short of qualifying for the expanded College Football Playoff, their season will conclude with a matchup against Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl on December 31. Head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff have been working hard to reshape the roster, with Horton expected to make an immediate impact in the receiving corps.
