JUST IN: Saints safety Roderic Teamer suspended for three games

The New Orleans Saints have been dealt a blow with the suspension of safety Roderic Teamer for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Announced on Wednesday, December 4, Teamer will serve a three-game suspension without pay and will be eligible for reinstatement in Week 17, just in time to face his former team, the Las Vegas Raiders, as reported by Tom Pelissero.

Teamer, primarily a special teams contributor when elevated from the practice squad, has been a reliable depth option for the Saints throughout the season. His absence could prompt the team to explore adding another safety to the practice squad to bolster their ranks during this critical stretch of the season.

The Saints now face the challenge of maintaining their special teams’ efficiency without Teamer as they prepare for their final playoff push.
