A Humble Start and Unforgettable Memories
Baron, originally from Nashville, recalled the surreal moment when he received his first offer from Tennessee under then-head coach Butch Jones. He shared a touching memory of the phone call, which was recorded by his mother, marking the beginning of his collegiate career. Despite his transfer, Baron emphasized how much his Vols experience shaped him: “It was a brotherhood, and I’m really thankful for that time.”
Transfer for Edge Rushing Opportunity
Baron made the decision to transfer after his fourth season, first heading to Louisville before ultimately settling at Miami. His move was motivated by a desire to play in a defense where he could focus on the edge rusher role—a position he felt he could excel at. At Miami, Baron has already made an impact, recording 33 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks this season.
