Walker’s father, Tracy Walker Sr., passed away suddenly, leaving behind a family that was deeply devoted to him. “It was tough, man,” Walker said. “Losing my dad was like losing a part of myself. It’s been a huge blessing for our family.” But it was Jerry Rice, the legendary wide receiver who played for the 49ers from 1985 to 1996, who made a particularly meaningful impact on Walker’s mother. Rice, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NFL history, reached out to Tamika Walker and offered her support.
“Jerry Rice is an amazing person,” Walker said. “He reached out to my mom and offered her support, which meant the world to us. He’s been through his own struggles, and for him to take the time to support my mom… it’s just incredible.” The support of the NFL and Jerry Rice has made a significant impact on Walker’s mother, who is slowly beginning to heal from the loss of her husband.
“It’s been tough, but with the support of the NFL and people like Jerry Rice, it’s made it a little easier,” Tamika Walker said. “I’m just grateful for the support and love that we’ve received.” As for Tracy Walker III, he is excited to start his new chapter with the San Francisco 49ers and is grateful for the support of his new team.
