Jones, a 6-foot, 196-pound standout from Mandarin High School, brings a winning pedigree. He transformed his team from a 4-4 record in his freshman season to an 11-4 campaign that culminated in a championship appearance during his junior year. His longstanding connection with Gators quarterbacks coach Ryan O’Hara played a pivotal role in sealing his commitment.
Ranked No. 238 overall in the 247Sports Composite, Jones’ decision boosts Florida’s recruiting presence in Jacksonville and strengthens ties with top prospects like five-star wide receiver Vernell Brown III, a close friend of Jones.
Florida’s recruiting class jumped 12 spots to No. 33 in the 247Sports Composite rankings following Jones’ addition. With the early signing period approaching, the Gators aim to secure more key commitments to bolster their 2025 class.
