Former Dodgers infielder Luis Cruz is returning to Los Angeles, this time behind the microphone. The Dodgers announced Cruz will join Pepe Yñiguez and José Mota as an analyst for their Spanish-language radio broadcasts on KTNQ 1020 AM and the Dodger Latino Media Network, starting with the 2025 season.
Known for his passion and understanding of the game, Cruz previously captured the hearts of Dodgers fans with his energy on the field. Dodgers executive VP Lon Rosen highlighted Cruz’s connection with fans and expressed excitement over the insights he’ll bring to the broadcast team.
Cruz, who last played for the Dodgers in 2012, is thrilled to rejoin the organization. “Once you’re a Dodger, you’re always a Dodger,” he remarked, recalling the warm reception he received during his playing days.
His addition comes after the loss of iconic Dodgers broadcaster Fernando Valenzuela, who stepped down in September and later passed away in October.
