Atlanta Falcons Add CB Lamar Jackson to Strengthen Defensive Depth

The Atlanta Falcons have made a notable move to enhance their defense, signing cornerback Lamar Jackson to their practice squad. Jackson, who initially showcased promise with the New York Jets after going undrafted from Nebraska in 2020, joins Atlanta’s practice squad aiming to provide valuable depth.

The 6’2″, 208-pound Jackson brings experience from his stints with the Jets, Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, and most recently, the Carolina Panthers. Known for his physicality and versatility, Jackson has appeared in 23 NFL games with 31 tackles and four passes defended, plus key contributions on special teams.

With Atlanta preparing for an upcoming clash against the Broncos, Jackson’s presence on the squad is a chance for him to potentially transition to game-day action. His addition is part of the Falcons’ strategy to diversify talent across positions, with fans eager to see if Jackson becomes a pivotal asset to the Falcons’ defensive lineup.
