Rising Star Ryan Williams
Freshman wide receiver Ryan Williams, a standout at just 17 years old, poses another significant threat. With 42 receptions for 804 yards and eight touchdowns this season, Williams leads Alabama in all major receiving categories. Despite a quiet game against Oklahoma, where he managed only two catches for 37 yards, Williams is expected to come out swinging in the Iron Bowl.
“Ryan is a kid we recruited really hard, and know how talented he is also,” Freeze remarked. “The message is the same: We’ve got to do our assignment every play and forget the last one. Have a short memory when you’re a DB. You can’t hold onto it.”
Auburn’s Confidence and Approach
While respecting Alabama’s firepower, Auburn’s players aren’t shying away from the challenge. Linebacker Demarcus Riddick kept his comments reserved when asked about the Tide’s playmakers, signaling confidence without giving undue credit.
Freeze, however, is emphasizing preparation and execution: “We’ve got to stay disciplined and focused on our assignments. Confidence is good, but execution wins games.”
