Update on the recruitment of 5-star recruit Chris Cenac

The Kentucky Wildcats basketball program, led by new head coach Mark Pope, has started the 2024-25 season with strong performances on the court and in recruiting. With three players already committed for the class of 2025, the Wildcats are focusing on rounding out their class with possibly one or two more recruits.

However, recent updates indicate that Kentucky’s pursuit of five-star forward Chris Cenac may be losing momentum. According to Jamie Shaw of On3, LSU, Tennessee, and Houston have become the main contenders for Cenac, leaving Kentucky and Arkansas trailing behind. Despite this, the Wildcats appear to be leading in the recruitment of another five-star talent, Caleb Wilson. This shift could suggest that UK’s focus has moved toward securing Wilson, potentially resulting in a showdown with Arkansas for the coveted recruit.

With these developments, Kentucky fans will need to stay tuned as Coach Pope and his team navigate the changing landscape of their 2025 recruiting efforts.
