Russell Westbrook also contributed significantly with 29 points, stepping in for Murray, while Michael Porter Jr. and Christian Braun helped the Nuggets surge with key three-pointers in the second half.
The Nuggets’ victory puts them at 5-3 for the season, while the Thunder dropped to 7-1. Denver will next face the Miami Heat on Friday, while OKC looks to bounce back against the Houston Rockets.
Jokic’s stellar start to the season has him leading the NBA in both rebounds (13.5) and assists (11.0) per game, with the potential to make history by leading the league in both categories. If he maintains this pace, Jokic could be on track for his fourth MVP award.
