Leeds United are tasked with getting back to winning ways on Friday after another frustrating loss last time out, when they travel to face West Brom away – and David Prutton has predicted the score.
Leeds come into the match against West Brom after losing to Preston on Boxing Day. It is the latest in a string of matches in which we’ve failed to replicate our best, picking up just four points from four games.
Losses to Sunderland and Preston, failing to beat Coventry at home – either side of a massive win over Ipswich. But Leeds have failed to capitalise and we now face a difficult trip to Carlos Corberan‘s team.
West Brom remain in the running for the top six, sitting comfortably in fifth. But like Leeds, Corberan’s men have been inconsistent of late, winning two and losing three of their last six matches in the League.
Friday night presents an intriguing fixture between two promotion high-flyers that desperately need to get back to winning ways. Former Leeds midfielder Prutton, though, has predicted a 1-1 draw this week.
“West Brom are doing enough to stay in the top six right now, and with the top two over the hill and far away, that is all they can really do this season. A decent win over Norwich,” Prutton told Sky Sports.
“It should have been more comfortable after the early red card. After all that brilliance against Ipswich, Leeds let it slip at Preston. It is so typical of this league. They have it all to do again. Score draw for me.”

It is an intriguing game. Leeds are going to be without Illan Meslier, though Daniel Farke has heaped praise on the man set to replace him – in summer signing Karl Darlow. West Brom have home advantage.
But, Leeds are probably the better side. It also sees Leeds come up against Alex Mowatt, a player that knows Leeds well – as well as manager Corberan. A tough one to predict, given our dodgy away form.
