JUST IN: WVU QB Garrett Greene Speaks Out Amid Doubts Over Playing Against Cincinnati

West Virginia quarterback Garrett Greene is deemed doubtful for this Saturday’s critical matchup against Cincinnati, following an upper-body injury sustained during last month’s game against Kansas State. Greene, who had a strong first half with 89 rushing yards, did not participate in the Arizona game and has been struggling with the injury since.

If Greene cannot play, Nicco Marchiol will take the helm once again. Marchiol previously showcased his skills with an impressive performance against Arizona, completing 18 of 22 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns. Head coach Neal Brown praised Marchiol’s growth and maturity since his last start and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the team against Cincinnati. The game is set to kick off at 12 p.m. EST and will be broadcasted on FS1.
