Experienced NRL prop Martin Taupau has officially re-signed with the Brisbane Broncos through the end of the 2025 season, securing his role as a vital force in the club’s forward pack. At 34, with a career spanning 255 NRL games and 33 international matches for New Zealand and Samoa, Taupau remains an influential player, bringing leadership and depth to Brisbane’s middle forwards.
Taupau’s extension follows a strong finish to the 2024 season, where he played 13 games, ran for 1124 meters, and achieved a 97 percent tackle efficiency with 233 tackles. Reflecting on his extended contract, Taupau expressed gratitude, emphasizing the opportunity it gives him to mentor younger players and contribute to the Broncos’ culture both on and off the field.
Taupau, who joined Brisbane in 2023, has embraced the community and club spirit.
