Consistent Communication from Coaches Keeps No. 8 TE Kaleb Edwards Committed to Alabama
Kaleb Edwards, a four-star tight end from El Dorado Hills, California, quickly made a significant decision regarding his college future following his summer official visit to the University of Alabama. After visiting Tuscaloosa for the first time in April and returning in June, Edwards announced that Alabama had “jumped to the top” of his recruitment, marking a pivotal moment in his decision-making process.
Edwards did take one additional official visit to Oregon before the NCAA’s Dead Period, but ultimately chose to commit to Alabama in early July. His decision was influenced by several factors, including the effective use of tight ends within the Crimson Tide’s offensive scheme and the strong relationships he had built with coaches Kalen DeBoer, Nick Sheridan, and Bryan Ellis during their time together in Washington.
Since committing, Edwards has maintained consistent communication with multiple members of the Alabama coaching staff, which has been crucial in solidifying his commitment. His role as the only tight end commit for several months changed last week when four-star tight end Marshall Pritchett flipped his commitment from North Carolina to Alabama, further enhancing the tight end position for the Crimson Tide.
