Alabama’s Jalen Milroe responds to Auburn player’s trash talk ahead of Iron Bowl

Tensions are heating up ahead of the 2024 Iron Bowl, as Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe responds to Auburn linebacker Demarcus Riddick’s trash talk.

Riddick made bold comments earlier in the week, stating that while Milroe is fast, he isn’t faster than him and that the Alabama QB wouldn’t escape the tackle box during the game. Milroe, unfazed by the challenge, responded after practice, saying, “I don’t even know who that is. Let him talk, it’s a part of [the rivalry].”

While Milroe dismissed the verbal jabs, he quickly shifted the focus back to Alabama’s preparation. “It’s all about just executing what we need to do so we can be our best us this weekend,” Milroe emphasized, showcasing his confidence in his team as they head into the crucial rivalry matchup.

The 8-3 Crimson Tide are still eyeing a narrow path to the College Football Playoff, with Saturday’s game against Auburn (5-6) serving as their last opportunity to make a strong impression. Auburn will also be fighting for bowl eligibility after their Week 13 win over Texas A&M.
