The Cleveland Browns have signed defensive end Marcus Haynes, according to Jeremy Fowler. Haynes, 26, first entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent from Old Dominion, initially joining the Denver Broncos. He was released from Denver’s final roster but later re-signed to their practice squad, only to be let go again.
In February, Haynes signed a futures contract with the Houston Texans but was waived in late May due to an injury. During his college career at Old Dominion, Haynes accumulated 103 tackles, 22 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, five pass defenses, one fumble recovery, and four forced fumbles.
