The USC Trojans have lost a significant recruit from their 2026 class, cornerback Dominick Kelly, who has decommitted and committed to Georgia instead. This change was reported by On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Kelly explained his decision by stating he feels Georgia offers the best fit for his skills as a cornerback.

Originally, Kelly had committed to USC on March 24 after receiving an offer from them in early February. The high school junior from Florida is highly regarded, currently ranked 246th nationally, as the 21st cornerback, and the 40th player in Florida by 247Sports. Standing 6-foot-1 and weighing 175 pounds, Kelly plays for IMG Academy.
USC’s 2026 recruiting class now includes four commits: two four-star and two three-star recruits. The top recruit remaining is Xavier Griffin, a versatile athlete from Gainesville, Georgia, who is ranked 27th nationally, the 2nd linebacker in his class, and the 5th player from his state according to On3.
Despite having time to strengthen their 2026 class, the Trojans face challenges as top programs like Georgia continue to attract their prospects.
