Texas alum Carson Foster takes home bronze medal at 2024 Paris Olympics

Foster was a 13-time All American at Texas.

Former Texas Longhorns men’s swimmer Carson Foster captured a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics this past weekend. Foster competed in the 400 meter individual medley. He finished behind France’s Leon Marchand and, albeit barely, Japan’s Tomoyuki Matsushita.

“There are so many people that deserve to have the medal with me, and I’m excited to go back and celebrate with them,” Foster said, according to Austin’s KXAN. “It feels so good, so awesome to soak that up.”

Foster was a member of Texas’ men’s swimming team, including the 2021 NCAA national championship team, from 2020 to 2023. He was also a 13-time All American and won three national titles in the 800 meter freestyle relay alongside his Texas teammates.
