Despite his solid performance, Kendrick faces stiff competition for a starting role at outside cornerback and may potentially transition to playing in the slot due to concerns about his speed and agility.
Kendrick, a key player in Georgia’s 2021 national championship win, has experienced being benched three times in the past two years, including two instances in the previous season alone. According to Rams Wire’s Cameron DaSilva, there is a noticeable effort by the Rams to evaluate Kendrick’s effectiveness in the slot, although this position might not fully capitalize on his skill set.
Meanwhile, another former Georgia standout, quarterback Stetson Bennett, is also vying for a spot on the Los Angeles Rams’ roster during the upcoming months.
