Claudio Yacob has delivered a new message to West Brom fans after his training ground visit on Thursday 11 July.
West Brom posted the video on their official X page as he returned to the club since departing back in 2018.
Yacob said: “Baggies fans, Claudio Yacob here. I came to say hello, I miss you. You are always in my mind and hopefully, you will see me again, we will see each other in a few weeks or months.
“See you. I love all of you.”
How good was Claudio Yacob when playing for West Brom?
Yacob is a West Brom cult hero and was with the club for a whopping six years, only departing The Hawthorns upon the expiry of his contract.
Throughout the entirety of his career, his longest stint was with the Baggies and he managed to make a total of 175 appearances.
Yacob has been without a club since leaving Universitario back in January 2023, and it was brilliant to see him back in West Brom gear after so long.
Although his retirement hasn’t yet been made official with no clubs currently in the running for him and at the age of 36, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the former Argentina international hang up his boots.
Either way, the promise that we will be seeing each other again in a matter of weeks is always exciting, and hopefully, the current midfielders in the squad can learn a thing or two.
