‘Outstanding’ Tottenham forward could still move on this summer with interest remaining from abroad
Tottenham Hotspur have wasted no time this summer when it comes to clearing the squad of unwanted players.
Daniel Levy and Ange Postecoglou have already been able to move on Joe Rodon in a deal to bring Archie Gray to north London from Leeds United.
And then Tottenham have also allowed players like Ryan Sessegnon and Tanguy Ndombele to move on as free agents.
Postecoglou has had a full year now to come to a decision on the players he feels are up to the standard he needs to take Spurs forward.
But there is still a number of players who could yet be moved on from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the coming weeks.
And one player, in particular, has now been identified as one to watch with interest expected to land.
Tottenham forward could be eyed for summer exit
Spurs still have players who could be moved on this summer with the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Sergio Reguilon both players who are unlikely to feature in Postecoglou’s plans.
However, there is also Richarlison who could fall into the category of being offloaded if the right offer is to land.
The Brazilian failed to really answer the questions being asked of him last season with injuries hindering his campaign severely.
Harry Kane‘s departure last summer will still linger in the minds of Spurs fans who are yet to see the England captain directly replaced.
According to Ben Jacobs, Richarlison remains a target for the clubs in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal both credited.
However, Jacobs has insisted that no offer have landed in north London just yet for the 27-year-old forward.
Spurs are said to be expecting around £60m – what they paid for him in 2022 – if they are going to allow Richarlison to leave.
Tottenham could land serious striker transfer fund with Richarlison sale
Spurs were never one of the sides who faced financial concerns last month with the PSR deadline, but bringing in £60m for Richarlison would be a huge boost to the summer kitty.
Tottenham are said to be looking at a new winger this summer with Pedro Neto believed to be on the radar.
Richarlison was hailed as “outstanding” by Postecoglou last season as he returned nine goals over a 10 game stretch in the Premier League.
But his injury issues have not helped his cause with the striker unable to put in a full season to convince Tottenham he could be their striker for the coming years.
