The nation’s best wide receiver has primed the fireworks for tomorrow’s commitment.
There will be an explosion of fireworks over Austin, Baton Rouge, Columbus, or Eugene tomorrow evening.
Per Hayes Fawcett of On3, five-star Duncanville (TX) wide receiver Dakorien Moore is set to make his college commitment tomorrow on July 4th. The nation’s top wide receiver is set to decide between LSU, Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas.
BREAKING: Five-Star Plus+ WR Dakorien Moore will announce his Commitment Tomorrow, he tells me for @on3recruits
Moore previously committed to LSU last August, but reopened his recruitment and de-committed from the Tigers back in May. Upon opening things up, Moore made it clear that his recruitment was going to be between the Buckeyes, Ducks, Longhorns, and Tigers come to decision time and that has held true to form.
Moore made official visits to all four of his finalists, with the Longhorns hosting him in mid-June before Oregon was able to host him for his final visit.
The vibes since Moore’s de-commitment from LSU have been very positive for the Longhorns, but things can always change in a hurry in recruiting. The Ducks have been picking up a lot of steam in their recruiting class as of late and the Buckeyes have become an assembly line for NFL wide receivers under Brian Hartline.
There is certainly reason for optimism heading into decision for Steve Sarkisian and Texas with Moore, but much like with his former teammate Colin Simmons in the previous cycle people will be on edge until the commitment is sign, sealed, and delivered.
Can Sarkisian and Texas land a five star from Duncanville for the second cycle in a row? We won’t have to wait much longer to find out. The nation’s top wide receiver prospect is just over 24 hours out from setting off light show in one lucky college town.
