Bryan King claims Aston Villa would accept an offer of £30million plus Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham for Jacob Ramsey.
The ex-Villa scout believes Spurs have tried to sign the 23-year-old – one of their summer transfer targets – on the cheap.
As reported by The Times (26 June), Villa rejected an offer of £20m plus Lo Celso for Ramsey, with Tottenham now weighing up an improved offer.
And King – speaking exclusively to Villa News – has detailed what price he feels would get the deal done.
“I think Villa have quite a bit of belief in Ramsey,” King said.
“Therefore, I am not surprised that they were expecting a better offer. I would think that £30m plus Lo Celso would get the deal done.

Supporters at Villa Park would perhaps feel conflicted as to whether or not this deal should be accepted.
On the one hand, they would likely love for Ramsey – one of their own – to stick around at the club and become a huge success.
Watching a player climb through the ranks and achieve superstar status always just means that much more to supporters.
And Ramsey certainly has the potential to do that, despite a frustrating injury-hit season last time out.
However, £30m plus Lo Celso could also be beneficial. The Argentine has worked with Unai Emery previously and has Champions League experience.
As a result, this appears to be a difficult decision for Villa and one which no doubt won’t be taken lightly.
