These improvements have increased the stadium’s seating capacity from 92,746 to 93,033, making it the sixth-largest stadium in the SEC and enhancing the Bulldogs’ home-field advantage.
The expanded Sanford Stadium will debut on September 7, 2024, when the Georgia Bulldogs face the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in their first home game of the season. Fans, numbering up to 93,000, will get their first look at the upgraded facilities as the Bulldogs aim to continue their impressive home win streak, which has been ongoing for over five seasons.
