ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Buffalo Bills promoted Matt Bazirgan, who grew up in Newbury and quarterbacked Triton to a 7-3 record as a senior in 1995, to the role of director of college scouting in a series of scouting department moves announced Friday under general manager Brandon Beane.
Bazirgan completed his second season with the Bills and previously held the title of senior personnel executive.
After graduating as a three-sport athlete at Triton, Bazirgan spent three years as Bates’s starting quarterback. After graduating in 2000, he spent one season playing for the Elancourt Templiers in France.
