Leyton Orient have confirmed its retained list, following the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign.
First-team players under contract: Jayden Sweeney, Dan Agyei, Jordan Brown, Joe Pigott, Brandon Cooper, Sam Howes, George Moncur, Omar Beckles, Ollie O’Neill, Ethan Galbraith, Max Sanders, Jordan Graham, Rhys Byrne, Zech Obiero, Charlie Pegrum
First-team players in contract discussions with the club: Tom James, Jack Simpson, Dan Happe, Ruel Sotiriou, Theo Archibald, Darren Pratley, Noah Phillips
Loan players to return to their parent clubs: Sol Brynn, Idris El Mizouni, Shaq Forde, Dan Adu-Adjei, Khayon Edwards
First-team players to leave the club following the expiration of their contracts: Rob Hunt, Adam Thompson, Harrison Sodje, Emmanuel Harvest, Jephte Tanga, Ethan Light
Head Coach Richie Wellens said: “Making these decisions is never easy and, for me, it was very important that we met all of the players individually and gave them their respective news in person.
“For those that we’ll be saying goodbye to, I wanted to speak to them face to face, shake their hands and thank them for giving everything to Leyton Orient.
“Hunty and Thommo are two fantastic, experienced professionals who I have no doubt will make great additions to other clubs this summer and beyond. For the younger lads that will move on, although they may see this as a setback it is also an opportunity for them to start afresh and we wish them all the best in their future careers too.”
Director of Football Martin Ling added: “I’d like to thank all of the players who will be leaving us for their efforts and professionalism whilst at Leyton Orient. Rob Hunt’s and Adam Thompson’s contributions to our League Two title winning season, on and off the pitch, will never be underestimated and we will always be grateful to them for that.
“For our younger lads that will be departing, this may be the first bit of bad news they have had in their careers and we will support them through their transition into a new club this summer.
“We remain in contract discussions with a number of our current first-team squad and we hope that those individuals will agree to stay with us.
“All of the decisions we have made, and will continue to make, are done in the best interests of the football club to give us the most competitive squad we can have ahead of the new season.”
Meanwhile, the following academy players have been offered third-year scholarships: Makai Welch, Thomas Avgoustidis, Reon Smith-Kouassi.
Emmanuel Kwatchey and Sahid Nallo will leave the club at the end of their scholarships.
