The brothers of Brisbane Broncos coach Kevin Walters have provided insight into what they believe has contributed to his success as a first-time NRL head coach, expressing confidence that a premiership is within reach for the club.
Steve and Kerrod Walters, former props who represented the Queensland Maroons and the Kangaroos, spoke about Kevin’s journey with the Broncos, a club he had previously won five premierships with. In just three seasons, Kevin transformed the team from struggling at the bottom of the ladder to becoming contenders.
During Kevin’s first season as head coach in 2021, the Broncos finished 14th. However, despite being in the top four late in the 2022 season, they ultimately missed out on the finals.
