Newcastle United

Out of reach: Exclusive report reveals Newcastle’s financial limitations in acquiring top talent leaving the door open for a move to Real Madrid

Acquiring a central defender has become crucial, particularly in light of Sven Botman’s injury, although it has been a priority for Newcastle United given their diminished defensive stability compared to last season.

It is highly likely that the Magpies will seek to secure a young player with the intention of forming a long-term partnership with Botman at the heart of their defense at St James’ Park. This is where someone like Giorgio Scalvini could emerge as a favorable option.

Scalvini, an Italian talent, is widely anticipated to achieve great success in the sport, making him an excellent potential signing for Newcastle United during the upcoming summer transfer window. However, it is important to acknowledge that there may be certain players whose talents exceed the reach of the Magpies.

Newcastle United unlikely to sign Antonio Silva or Leny Yoro

HITC Football insider Graeme Bailey recently discussed Newcastle United’s pursuit of a new center-back in the summer. According to Bailey, he believes that Ousmane Diomande could be a potential option for the club. However, he also mentioned that players like Antonio Silva and Leny Yoro are likely to be beyond the reach of Newcastle officials.

Bailey expressed his admiration for Antonio Silva, considering him the best young center-back in Europe. However, he does not believe that Newcastle is actively pursuing him, as he considers Silva to be out of their range. Bailey described Silva as a player of exceptional quality, comparing him to a Rolls Royce.

Similarly, Leny Yoro was mentioned as a player who is likely to be out of Newcastle’s reach, as Bailey speculates that Yoro may end up joining Real Madrid.

How much Lille want for ‘extraordinary’ Leny Yoro

Leny Yoro, an 18-year-old talent currently playing for Lille in Ligue 1, has attracted significant attention due to his exceptional abilities. He has been praised as “extraordinary” by Paulo Fonseca. Graeme Bailey believes that Yoro is destined for even greater achievements in his career.

Yoro is now being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, who have also shown interest in Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes. If Real Madrid intends to secure Yoro’s services, it may prove to be an expensive summer for the Spanish club. Reports suggest that Lille is seeking a fee of approximately £60 million for the young player.

Newcastle were linked with Antonio Silva last summer

Regarding Silva, the 20-year-old defender from Benfica was a target for Newcastle United last summer during their search for a center-back.

However, a deal was deemed unlikely due to the high price tag attached to the Portuguese youngster. Benfica valued Silva at £85 million, which would have made him Newcastle’s most expensive signing ever.

Now, with another year of experience under his belt, Silva is even more likely to be out of reach for Newcastle as they look to secure a center-back this summer.
