The Indianapolis Colts have reached an agreement to re-sign linebacker Ronnie Harrison, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal is for one year.
Harrison, who is 26 years old, initially joined the Colts during the 2023 training camp. While he spent most of the season on the practice squad, he was promoted to the 53-man roster in November. Additionally, the Colts shifted Harrison’s position from safety to linebacker.
During his limited playing time of seven games, with three starts, Harrison made an impact, recording a total of 20 tackles, including one sack, and two interceptions. He was on the field for approximately 51 percent of the defensive snaps in the games he played.
Originally a third-round pick in the 2018 draft, Harrison spent his first two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars before being traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2020. He played out his rookie contract with the Browns and returned to the team on a one-year deal in 2022.
Throughout his career, Harrison has played in 74 games, registering 6.5 sacks, 25 passes defensed, and seven interceptions.
